These are on sale at TW. On the site there are quite a few bad reviews. Is this just because they are expecting more because of the price or are these things no good? I'm looking into getting one and wonder if anyone has had any experience with them. Or is there something better I should use my 110 bucks on?

I'd take any review on TW with a grain of salt. Most of those people don't even use the reels. Nearly every review I have read has been solid. They're very nice reels, especially at the current sale price. One of my favorite reels to palm and they cast exceptionally well. I prefer the Tatula over the Ballistic still, even at that price, but it's by no means a bad reel. This is especially true for folks that want the great casting/pitching of the T-Wing design, but fancy a smaller reel than the Tatula.

Fantastic reel. The handle is the worst part of it. It's riveted and doesn't support bearing upgrades. aside from that, great reel. 109$ is a steal. The Tatula can also be found for around 100$. Same Tws concept but no pop up hood. Tatulas a taller frame as well. 

I love my T3-B's they are probably the best bang for your buck reel right now with the 110.00 price tag... i have both the 8:1 for pitching light t-rigs and jigs, and the 6:1 for casting reaction baits... they both perform very well, the cast control system is in my opinion the best on the market... hanlde sucks on the 6 and 7 ratios, but the 8 has a good handle...
