$575 Budget

Featured Replies

I am looking to get 4 new BC rods. Budget is 575 and been leaning toward Duckett rods. What would you get with 575 bucks?

I'd say you're leaning in the right direction with Ducketts!

I have to find out the difference in the 2.....the regular white ones and the ghost.

You could a good lineup of a mixture of Powell Endurance, Max, Inferno and Diesel's for that much

I'm all for the 150 Powell endurances, but there is an interesting deal going on right now...dicks has shimano Crucials for 120. That's a good deal. I don't know what your needs are but a mix of endurance, cheap crucials and my cranking rods would be of the 75-100 variety. Good options out there.

my needs are a 7-4ish frog/swim bait rod which I would think would serve as a spinner bait rod as well, something for jigs, something for plastics, and jerkbaits. I have been a croix guy my whole life so I will be looking at the rage rods as well.

Those Powell rods look awesome.

Grab a couple premiers and couple rage and call it a day then

Good sticks for sure!

To bad they don't have the st croix deal they ahd going on last year...buy 2 get one free pretty much.

I have been using the rage rods for over a year and have been pleased with their performance and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking in that price range.  To me, they don't fish nay different than the avid that i own and since i prefer a split grip style that helps too.

Crucials, lifetime over the counter warranty and quality rods.

I have a tourney this weekend with the gear i have now, that next weekend I go shopping.

Those Powell rods look awesome.

The endurance series are excellent bottom contact rods. Very sensitive

I would look in the fenwick lineup -

Elite Tech Smallmouth & the Aetos. Lifetime warranties, and they can be found for below MSRP.

Hands down my favourite rods if you need to stay under $150/rod.

If not, 13 omens?

Daiwa tatula for bottom contact, and shimano compre for reaction baits... or mojo, or ***...

I'd get 4 Kistler KLX rods. Fuji Components, NFC blank, quality build. Hard to find at that price point. With a coupon code, you could be right at that budget.

I am not brand loyal, id mix up crucial at dicks, premiers and omens.

I am going to look at *** stuff today. So many choices!

Good choices here, id also recommend fenwick smallie rods, crucial rep sample rods at the tackle trap right now. Buy 4 of any these rods and you should have enough left to pick up a daiwa ballistic on sale at TW for $110 !!

Look for sales, discounts and maybe a discount if you purchase all of it from one seller.

I just looked at *** for the 1st time and they look awesome.....

These *** rods are calling my name, who loves em? who hates em? lay it on me.....

iRod Genesis 2 series will cover your needs.

These *** rods are calling my name, who loves em? who hates em? lay it on me.....

Positives about the ***- light and sensitive

Negatives for me- I HATED the handle. My hand only rested on about half of the grip on the reel seat, which made it uncomfortable to fish on long, hot days.
