So I happened to be searching google for a time or area where the Bassmasters come and fish. Happen to find out the Classic next year is in the Upstate, about 3 hours from me. Anyways not only is the classic going to be there but the article I read says "The Bassmaster Classic Outdoors Expo, the consumer show held concurrently with the competition days, will be at the 280,000-square-foot TD Convention Center in Greenville."

 

Someone who has never been to either or any of the matches for that matter. But the Classic Outdoors Expo sounds awesome! Can anyone tell me more about it? Also what can you actually do during the Classic? What is it like?

It was the best trip I ever went on! My parents supprized me and said I was going to the Classic with my dad the  morning before before it started. What was even better was that my dads company sponsors Elite Series pro Britt Myers, so he was able to get us passes to go on the dock were all the boats were lined up at launch. The Expo is amazing, make sure you go on the last day because thats when all the best sales are at. We were able to get an 1198 hummin bird for half price and I got a bunch of free baits because they were just throwing up in the air for people to grab them. You also can learn about new companies because theres 3 differant stories filled with booths. Another thing I  really like about it is how easy it is to meet all the pros, we thought we'd be lucky just to meet 2-3 pros but litterally I met 35! Not joking, If you want me to list them I will but it will take me an hour to do it. The only down side was that I didnt bring enough money with me.

It's a good time and you won't regret the effort put in to going.  Get up early and be at the dock for the launch.  Go eat breakfast and then head back to town for the expo.  Spend most of the day at the expo taking your time, meeting the guys you watched on TV when you were a kid, finding deals on tackle, and learning about new products that will catch you more fish.  Go to weigh in and see what they caught, head to dinner and then hang out at the hotel and find other anglers to BS with before calling it a night.  Repeat each day and you will go home with great memories and lots of stuff.
