Im in the market for a new pair of sunglasses. I have a pair of Oakley Half Jackets and they are great fishing but would like something a little better especially for bed fishing. Looking into both Oakley's and Costa's, so which pairs would you recommend or which lenses?

Whatever you buy, get an amber lens. I have three pairs, two gray and one amber. The one pair of gray ones is going back to solar bat to get amber lenses

Costa with the 580 lenses.

I have the Costa "zane" with amber lenses. They're great.

Costas with 580 lenses. I have 6 other pairs and have only worn my costas exclusively since purchasing 2 years ago.

So far Costas seem to have the upper hand, thanks for the help guys!

Wiley X. Great lens and they're shatter proof, so if a hook ever comes flying back at you then you're eyes are still covered.

I am BIG on Amphibia Sport sunglasses. I have the 2112's in white. They float and that is huge for me. You don't want to spend a bunch and lose them in the water. The lens quality is also amazing.

I have a pair of Amphibia's as well believe I have the Genisis model. The only thing I would have done different was get another lens color I got blue and wish I would have got some with an amber lens.

The Costas are too rich for my taste, great glasses but I can't pay that much. If you are looking for something easier on the wallet, try the Eye Surrender sunglasses, $60.00 with a lifetime $20 replacement and they are great, super light weight and I was surprised at the optical quality of the lenses. I use the green lens and the copper lens colors, the green makes dark objects pop in the water like stumps, logs, limbs and the black lateral line of the bass but the copper is great in all conditions even low light.

Both Costa and Oakley make great glasses. I have two pair of Costas and one set of Oaks that I play ball in..

Best advice...get a big frame that won't let light in. Get amber lenses. Amber is the probably the BEST for most water and bottom sediment colors. Go to a store and try them on....even of they dont have amber...just see which frames you like ans fit you face. I always go to store to try them on, then I find them cheaper online.

Alot of dudes really like WileyX, Strike King S11,.and the Calcutta glasses. I would go for a premium brand if you can

I spent a lot of time a couple summers ago researching sunglasses. Ended up buying Costa 580G (glass), Brine model, I believe. Amber lens.

 

Very happy with them, although on some days I wish they were a tad lighter color-wise (like on dark cloudy days). But I couldn't be happier with the quality and zero scratches I've had on them since I took the plunge. And I don't baby them. Use the adjustable Cablz for hanging around my neck.

Stay away from S11's. Waste of money. Didn't make it through one summer as fishing only sunglasses. If you can afford it go for Costa or Oakley. 

The biggest framed Costa you are comfortable with in 580g amber. Although I have a blue pair and it works fine. Amber just gives you a little more edge.

I am using Oakley flak jackets with angling specific "Deep blue polarized" lenses. Love them. Also love how I can remove the lenses and keep a set of black polarized lenses in for daily use.

I think I've made my decision and I'm going with the Costa Corbina's 580p with Amber lenses. Tried them on today at a local store and loved them, other than Ebay is there any other place that may offer them for a little cheaper price?
