Spro Popping Frog

Featured Replies

I've heard a lot of good reviews on this lure and thought that i should give it a try. How do i work this bait and what color is best for this frog!!!!

Best frog I've ever fished. It's very versatile, don't limit yourself to popping it. It walks very well, spits, chugs, and works great over vegetation. Only downside is that is a tiny bit harder to get a hook in the fish because it has a smaller butt and it takes a little bit more force to compress near the back end. Way worth it though, and if you want better hookups you should open the hooks up a tiny bit away from the body and Yiu'll get better hookups with any frog.

Oh and the best color for any frog is BLACK

I fish it like a normal popper, just on heavier gear.

As for color, I'll fish any color frog, as long as it's black.

A great lure and walks the dog even better than the regular spro. I fish it like a frog except with occasional pops. Another bonus is it doesn't take on as much water as the regular.

Great lure, more effective than regular hollow body frogs in many cases. I've use both large and small frogs with great success, but now I use boohay pad crashers.  They work just as well for me as spros, but are less money and MUCH more durable IMO
