How Often Do You Change Your Fishing Line?

Ill keep line on til cant make a full cast without the connection knot interfering. At times  a few years or over a decade.

Usually my braid will last a couple seasons, I transfer the older line to other reels so all yards of line get used.

For example, the braid on my stella was looking a bit frayed, so I reeled it off onto my Steez so the older braid

would be underneath the newer braid on that reel.

I then add new braid onto my stella.....if that makes sense LOL.

Finally someone said it. Thanks I thought im only one. I even use reel that too short of a line as pitching reel or short target reel.

I run braid all the way now and either reverse it on the spool when it starts to look ragged or when it starts to get low on the spool, I will reverse, and tie into some new stuff.

I do the same, but cut off the ragged line then top off the spool with backing before reversing. Some of my reels have 10+ year old braid. Mono or fluoro I'll burn through a couple spool changes per year on my crankbait rod and maybe one on my pitching setup.
