Sunglasses Question

Featured Replies

  • Super User

I visited the Virginia Eye Institute to order a pair of Costa's and the optician told me that Costa could not grind the glass based on my eye prescription as they do not go past +5.25 and my left eye is +5.50.

Any of you guys and gals have an eyeglass prescription of +5.50 or greater and have prescription sunglasses?

If so, what is the brand?

Thanks.

I'm dealing with a similar issue. I'm not +5, but I do need prescription sunglasses. Every pair I buy, it feels "weird" - hard to describe. I guess it's from looking through the concaved lenses but it feels like I'm inside the water, looking out. The perception is "off".

This may be a dumb suggestion. But couldn't you wear contacts and then just get glasses? Also you could check Oakley. Sorry I couldn't help more..
