Not a lot to go into this question, imma just make it short.

Does anybody have experience with dipping in the treestand? I love to throw one in while in the stand, but have just spit on the ground in the past. If I were to keep a bottle handy, do you think it would have negative affects on seeing deer?

I doubt it, you could always wrap it in cloth tape to avoid shine. I can only imagine some of the things deer have seen me do in a stand, prob thinkn... look at that idiot.

Thanks for the reply J. I didnt even think Id get a reply for a while.. Seems like during the offseason this forum gets neglected lol! I know of people who do all kinds of stuff in the tree, like smoke for instance. Even if I did smoke, I wouldnt do it while hunting. My season only lasts two months out of the year. Its important to me to be as succesful as possible.

Sounds all too familiar. I'm pretty new when it comes to hunting. This past year was my second season, and I just cant get enough. The rush I get from seeing deer walk out seemingly out of thin air is like no other.

I almost always dip in the stand and spit on the ground. I have never once saw a deer react to it in any negative way.  

 

Forget about the bottle, keep the wind in your favor, and enjoy killing deer.

Have you ever licked a molasses block/lick/liquid??  

 

Stump licker liquid and the horse/cattle/deer mineral molasses licks all taste and smell very similar to Copenhagen!  I'm convinced it brings them in even more

I knew a guy who used to smoke weed while in the tree stand and he killed more deer in camp then anybody. Dont know if that has anything to do with it or not but I dip Copenhagen Straight while deer hunting and have for years and seen no ill affects but I have seen deer pee make them snort blow and run like the wind.

If anything wintergreen may peek theyre curiosity lol.
