Strike King Shim-E Stick

Featured Replies

I seem to have incredibly better success using the Strike King Shim-E Stick in the Red Shad color.

I'm not sure why, but man it seems to light it up when all other colors fail to produce. Any ideas why?

Additionally, they're not all that easy to find in this color. My local Wal-Mart has them every once in a while, so I buy them up when they do.

Might be worth a try if your luck with Senkos might be getting stalled.

Red shad color isn't a big secret, it is a proven color , just mention the name Culprit and usually the first thing you hear in response is red shad. I'm not sure why, it may be just a mind trick but Culprit's red shad original worm is just plain deadly, it is the only worm other than a Senko that I can say without a doubt that it will get bit even in super tough conditions. I'm not sure if it is the worm or the color but I know guys that use several different brands and styles of worms and red shad is a color almost everyone I know has.

Funny because I seem to get bit on any other color than Red Shad.  Even Sweet Potato Pie gets more hits for me.

I guess I need to try it some more.

Sweet potato pie is my favorite color in all stickbaits Felix. Wish yammamoto made it. I copy it on senkos with spike it markers lol

Green Pumpkin/Chartreuse Swirl is killer for me. Baby Bass is good also.

P.S. Shim-E Sticks are the only stickbaits I've used for two years now. Love 'em.

And they are cheaper than Senkos.

Man I wish I had luck with Strike King over Senkos it would be A LOT easier on my pockets! Same thing goes for the 5" over 6" senkos, I only have luck with the 6" I just don't understand it, I'm sure the women do lol.

I have a few packs of Strike King for the mere fact I can get them for $1 something but no luck. The 6" senkos only come with 5 and the 5" come with 10, come on fish it's not about size it's the motion in the ocean lol
