Trout Fishing Fort Mccoy

Featured Replies

There really biting. No monsters, (not sure if there is such a thing on these lakes) still fun though you wont get skunked that's for sure. So if you're looking just to go out and catch a shi* ton this is the fishing. Powerbait kills em.

I was there around 1971, had a buddy stationed at Camp Mccoy in Sparta for 2 weeks.  I remember fishing an area near Melvina Wisc, caught some nice trout. Had a great time in both La Crosse and Winona, some real pretty country there.

Never knew there was a lake there. A buddy of mines family has acreage that borders Fort McCoy that he hunts on. I'll have to bring the rods up next time in addition to the guns.
