I wanted a setup that was stronger for fishing frogs. (Of course budget was a concern)

I opted for:

 

St. Crox Mojo Bass, 7' Medium-Heavy, Fast

Pflueger Supreme XT Spinning, 9235XTX with 30 pound braid

    I'd prefer casting gear for frogging but if you prefer spinning gear you should be just fine with that combo.
