anyone hav this rod? would be good for jigs and texas rigs in cover? i just realized it has a fast action. i have a powell max with extra fast i really like. was just wondering how fast the tip is compared to the max

It would work but personally I would get the 714. I cant compare it to the max series because all I own are endurances but from what I heard they are similar

I use the endurance 714 for jigs and t-rigs plastics. I really like the setup

No 694 but like the others I have a 714. Used for the same things. Also throw a frog here and there with it. I have a max 703 and endurance 723. The max is a good rod but the endurance is a great rod. It's built on a better blank and has better guides. For what they cost new, it's worth the extra $20 for the endurance.

Also have a 714 here too and I use as the same things the others listed... If the price tag on that rod is around 100 bucks I'd jump on that either way, whether I needed it or not.
