Nice Bass On Ultralight

Featured Replies

So... I found this ultralight rod at BPS for 5$ in the clearance rack  :respect-059:

Decided to break it in today, just catching some little guys at a little local pond, and what do I know, this guy grabs my line. Felt like the fight of my life with 6lb test haha it was so much fun. I also got to break in my new scale, and he was 4lbs on the dot. Anyone else got some ultralight bass stories?

When I was 8 years old, I was lobbing a buzzbait on my ultralight (bass fishing wasn't my thing at the time so I didn't own any heavier tackle) in my neighbor's pond and landed an 8lb largemouth. It hit 3 times in 3 casts before I hooked it, very exciting! I have also landed multiple 20+" Largemouth when they eat bluegill that I am reeling in.

Cool story!  I just rigged up my ultralight last night.
