image_zpscfc5bbcf.jpg Having 20 something reels I used to forget what's spooled with what. Until now introducing labeler 5000!!! Lmao no seriously bought a labeler and started doing this. AX in this case stands for AbrazX. My spinning setups I put the label on the underside of the spool. Figured I'd share.

Ps. You can see in the background I labeled my plano boxes :)

yep, I use little pieces of tape on the reel seat. And name tag labels from my work for my plano boxes

That reel looks huge from that angle. Is it a Lexa 300?

Wow every time I see or handle the Tatula, it seems massive in the hand.

A date would also be a cool addition.

why? line last for years if stored properly, chances are you will run out and respool before it goes bad. seems many here are just to paranoid and have no faith in their line, or maybe they just dont realize it because others have pumped their head full of misconceptions...

Simply be ause I prefer to have fresh line. I'm not gonna chance losing a fish of a lifetime because I heard on the internet that my line will last for years. I choose to replace my line about twice a year because I know that plastics and polymers breakdown when subjected to UV radiation.

At one time I labeled, they got beat up pretty bad by the salt and couldn't read them.  I keep track in my mind for my 20 some odd reels.  Year by year I make fishing simpler, not more complicated.

If some one chooses to replace line a couple times a year, don't see the need to date.  One can always put this information on a spreadsheet, which I've done, after awhile I lost interest.

Agreed.  Here in the hot Fl. sun and with salt in the air well inland, line deteriorates quickly.  Rigs not even used just sitting on the deck or in the console rack have to be replaced too.  I change my line no matter what type it is, every few months.  Have to between the sun and deterioration from structure/fish.
