Old Daiwa Graphite Baitcasters

Featured Replies

I still have some older Daiwa Graphite Baitcasters that I have had put away for awhile. I broke out a couple the other day and fished with them, pitching creature baits around cover....they still work pretty good....no instant anti reverse but these things still cast really good and they are light because of the graphite. Do any of you guys use any of these anymore?

I use old shimano bantams

I have a couple of Shimano Bantams from the late '80s that I break out and put through their paces every now and then. With 8lb. mono, they cast 1/4 oz. cranks amazingly well.

The only old Daiwa that I still have is a Millionaire 5H. No graphite there.

I like my bantams but with 10&12lb line they don't cast to far

I have a late 80's Shimano Bantam Black Magnum and a Bantam BeastMaster 2-speed that I might dust off. Wonder how they compare to my Curado's? :)
