Last Gen Used Stradic Or Current Gen New Symetre/pflueger Supreme

Featured Replies

just wanted to hear everyones thoughts the cost would be around 100 for all but would the last gen stradic fi be much better than the current symetre or supreme or would a new reel with newer tech be better in the long run?

Xship on the Symetre is nice, but the Stradic is the better reel by far. I didn't care for the Supreme at all. I ended up selling my Supreme and Patriarch because they started feeling really sloppy after less than a season. Shimano seems to have better line management, due to the propulsion lip design, as well.

Sight unseen no way to tell the condition of the reels.  Pflueger reels have always treated me well and Pure Fishing is about as good as it gets, quite often they just send out a brand new reel, they have done that several times when I sent an Abu in for cleaning.

Personally I wouldn't buy used, I'd buy 1 new reel.

Personally , I don't think anyone does line management better than Shimano... Cast so well.. Buying used is always risky, buy new when possable... Both company's make really good copy's... And really bad...
