Hey guys,

 

Decided to try some new bait out after work today. I hooked up on 4 rainbows within 30 minutes lol! I had a great little outing and nice dinner afterwards : )

Congrats on the trout. I wouldn't feed those nasty things to anyone though. They make good cutbait, that's pretty much it. 

Do you dislike the taste of fish in general? I really enjoy the taste, its very very mild and with some lemon and butter it just makes the taste pop!

No, trout is just an awful tasting fish IMO. It's very oily and makes me think it's taste and consistency is much like what it must be like to eat a shad.

You're joking right? You must have a bad hatchery (if they are planted fish) or you are cooking them wrong. Trout is one of the best tasting fish out there.

Not in least. I've had them cooked a bunch of different ways and from several different lakes and streams. I wouldn't feed that junk to a stray cat. Thankfully they fight well, are active in colder water than bass, and the big catfish love to eat cut trout once the water warms up  If I'm keeping them, it's either to give away to a friend who wants to try them, or to freeze to save to cutbait once the water warms up.
