I see that some people use double tail grubs as trailers for their jigs. I was wondering if anyone uses Gary Yamamoto Double Tailed Hula Grubs as their trailer for their jigs?

Hula Grubs as trailers ---> no, I use those as baits, not as complement of another bait.

I have used them as a jig trailer before with success. I didn't like the price for durability.

Yea I've tried them as trailers and they work.

I use them sometimes when my skirts get thin and I'm not ready to replace it. Caught many fish with them.

They work great.  Sometimes a little extra bulk is what the fish want.

I usually just use a regular twin tail grub if thats the profile I want to throw though.

All I can tell you is that the 4" Hula Grub fished on a shakey head jig is a fine smallmouth lure. :)
