Foul hooked a 9lb carp today :/ Bass sitting infront of my senko, staring into nothing though

I take this time of year to really hone my skills.

 

Getting a fish to take artificial baits is an art, and even more so post-spawn when they're not gorging themselves on everything.

 

It does suck sometimes but the challenge of getting a post-spawn bass to strike makes it worthwhile. The dog days of summer have produced many memorable fish over the years.
