Before upgrading bearings, have the reel deep cleaned and Super Tuned. If you decide you want bearings too ABEC 5 ceramic hybrids are the best bang for the buck. I can help with any or all, let me know.

    I had a johnny morris for like a month and the drag broke on it, sent it in under warranty and got my new one.

    Its a good reel. That's the only bad experience I've had with it.
