OCD kicking in, lol. I was just wondering on hard casts when the leader passes through the line guides, will it damage them over time? I use the alberto knot, and it is pretty slim

I've never had a leader knot damage or knock out a guide insert.  The Alberto knot is thinner and passes more easily than most.

Same here. I have been using the alberto knot for a while too. Never once had a guide problem. Your OCD is getting the better of you. Your guides are fine. Seriously.

I doubt it.

Unless the guide is of very poor quality I seriously doubt a knot will damage the guide.
