I am wanting your feedback. Thinking of purchasing the 7'6" Heavy St. Croix Mojo bass rod. Thinking I can use for pitching and flipping primarily and frog also. What do you think of rod and how do you use is what I'm curious about. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks.

Great rod for the money. I have 3 of them and love fishing with them.  youll be fine using the 7'6 heavy. Those things are freaking broom sticks!

Unless you're in serious need of a rod that can move a monster fish and 20lbs of slop, that 7' 6" might be a bit of overkill. I used to pitch with the 7' MH spinnerbait rod and felt it had plenty of backbone for that. I wish I wouldn't have sold it because it would have made a good frog rod too.

I second the 7' MH. When I had that rod I even threw squarebills on it and caught my PB.

yeah the heavy 7'6 is super strong same as the 7'9 which i have all of there heavy action rods are serious. if your fishing thick cover for flipin n pitchin youd be fine but if you looking to use it for frogs a lot the tip is very very stiff so you can really get a good load to cast the frogs. i was fine with but some people dont like that becaue you can snap off you bait pretty quickly

Oh all rhe croix i have owned and fished i like the mojo the least...it wasnt bad but for its price it could be much better. I have fished with the triumph, mojo, premier, tidemaster, avid, LTB and extreme

The mojo just didnt feel or handle that well imo...i bought my mojo and a premier at rhe same time...i still have the premier. They are close is price and i felt the premier was all around better than the mojo

Dont get my wrong though the mojo is a soild stick!

In  my opinion they arent ballanced very well and are on the heavy side. There are better options in the price rance

I have a mojo 7'MHF. Good rod, but a bit heavy (weight wise). I also have a couple veritas and feel they are better rods for the money, especially now when they are on sale about everywhere. Cabelas had them for 69.99, not sure if they still have them or not. The 7'MHF veritas has a bit more backbone but balances better IMO. I like it better. 

The 7'6 heavy mojo rods are VERY stiff so make sure you check them out in store before buying.

There are much better rods in that price point. I found my Mojo Bass rods to be heavy and not sensitive. I no longer own them. 

The 7' Med I own is tip heavy and dead feeling. And has had two inserts fall out....You can do much, much better IMO.

I couldn't agree with you more I use there 7'1" med. heavy rage line for all my frogging needs and I've caught some monsters. 7'6 is going to be overkill

I have 3 Mojo Bass. two 6'8 MXF and one 7' MHF.  Mine are all spinning. I still haven't attempted casting reels yet.

I love them.
