I Need A Fishing Trip

I need a fishing trip, not really but my wife thinks so.  At first I got excited and thought about Xcalak, Mexico.  After thinking about it I really would rather her come along with me, and there is nothing for her to do there.  I'm teetering where to go once the weather moderates a little bit.  Bahamas is good choice.  Keys are always great, some nice resorts there and good fishing.  I think I may decide to check out the gulf side of the state, never fished there before, I'd like to target redfish.  We have friends that have opened a restaurant in Naples I've been meaning to go, I may do about 200 miles of the gulf coast.

If you decide to go south, Go to Islamorada and stay at Cheeca Lodge. It is amazing.

Cabo. Best of both worlds. Stuff for her and always fish for you. You can even hit it right and have roosterfish, sails, marlin and dorado all at the same time!

Not that lodge but fished out of Bud N Marys' quite a few times.

Own a time share at the Villa del Palmar, fished and golfed there many times.  First night in town I had chickens crawling under my table while I was having dinner at the Giggling Marlin, lol.  I fished out of one of the old wood Pangas, that was neat.  The old airport was like a bombed out building in Beirut, with livestock wandering thru it.

We usually gravitate to San Jose, bit more laid back, La Paz is another excellent fishing location.  Both my wife and I prefer PV, more to do, my best fishing trip ever was in Bandaras Bay.  The Rhythm of the Night cruise was an experience like no other, we loved it.  We have quite few trips logged into that part of the world over the last 20 years.  Great memories of those places, but time for another adventure.  If it were me alone I'd be going to Xcalak.  This is me having a corona at the marina in PV.

I need one as well. I've gone to my local lake from the bank several times. I've been meaning to go to my 1hr away honey hole with the boat but ever since the tornado hit I just haven't had the zest to do it.

No big deal, mainly just busy.

I'll get there it will just take a while yet.
