Costa Del Mar Sunglasses

Featured Replies

So, I really like these Blackfin Realtree with 580 or 400 with the Glass lenses. I was worried tho about the durability of the lenses, I mean flying bullet weights hitting glass lenses. I don't know if they would hold up. Also I'm not sure on the 400 vs 580?

Thanks, Tyler

Get 580P (plastic). They are great and they will last you a long time. Besides, they have lifetime warranty's.

They don't make the color I want in the plastic I want the polarized blue.

I've got the Fisch in the 580G lenses and love them. I've had the Fathoms in the blue mirror lenses and loved them as well.

Glass lenses are much more durable than plastic. Plastic scratches much, much easier if you don't take perfect care of the glasses.

You'll be fine. Plus they make the best sunglasses in the world.

So it would be worth getting them over a pair of kvd oakleys?

I have a pair of the KVD's. A little overpriced to me, but great glasses. With the Costa Del Mars though you can't really go wrong. They have a lifetime warranty and great optics. Green 580G and P's are what people generally recommend. Frame is personal preference.

In the end pick what you like. Both are reputable glasses.

I went with glass (580p) lenses. Haven't regretted a minute since. Love 'em.

I thought the 580 with P designation was for the polycarbonate lensing, which is a plastic. Did you mean 580G?

DOH! You are correct. G, 580G is what I meant.
