Technique Specific, Or Not.

I use all my 'technique' rods differntly, I've even used cranking rods to throw swimbaits and an occasional finesse worm.

I also whipped a cottonmouth pretty good with my pitching rod, was not my ideal weapon but it got the job done. Snakes not welcome in my boat!

If I am remembering correctly, I think the first ever technique specific bass rod came back in

the late 60's, or early 70's. It was called a "WORM ROD".

Only got one rod that I think is technique specific, that would be a Cumara med/x-fast dropshot rod. Could probably use it for other things, some claim it's a hell of a shakyhead rod too, but I've never tried. The rest of my rigs can and do pull other duties.

I think my first specific rod was a Fenwick. Really nice rod for worming. I got it in the mid 80s. It said "walleye" on it, lol.
