I'm building a new AR and I am chambering it in 300 Blackout, is anyone familiar with this caliber and have any advise on load data?

I finally got all the pieces to start my build this morning. This was not a kit I purchased everything individually so I could get what I wanted

I've found quite a bit of load data for it, it's a neat round if you load it with a 110-125gr bullet it will zip right along at over 2000fps

You can also load a 200-220gr bullet and pistol powder and get it at around -1000sps!

That ladies and gentlemen is subsonic!!!

I'm checking into getting a suppressor for it!

Just my little research h1000 works good for the supers, I load my 308 subs with trail boss.

A good tip for loading subs- start high and work your way down to get your desired fps

Do you have a suppresser? If so what one? I checked a local class 3 dealer and he had one in stock but it was $975! OUCH!!!

I was thinking about 6-700 for a YHM?

Yea I have a thunderbeast 30p-1, more for precision shooting than ar blasting. Nothing wrong with the yhm's that I've held, they're just a little heavy

I completely understand when you are buying one component at a time, but if you bought everything and had it all to assemble was what I was asking.

It probably took me 2 hours. I've built several before but I haven't built one in several years.

I took the flash hider off and put a fake suppressor on it.

Still waiting on optics :-/

I could assemble an ar in an hour or two but the key is to have the right tools on hand, that's always been the trickiest part for me.

What kind of optic you planning on? Red dot or variable?

I actually sold the barrel and handguards already and should have my new stuff tomorrow
