Rage Craw

Featured Replies

Guys I have been out fishing this a handful of times in spots where I have caught bass before. I have had no luck with the Rage Craw. I have tried fishing it every way I could think and the only thing I have caught was a large turtle. I am fishing it on a 7 foot med hvy fast action pole with 17lb test fluorocarbon.

Do you guys have any tips on what to do?

Adjust to where the fish are...and what they want

These things change...A LOT!

I suppose your post doesn't give me enough information to help. If craws aren't a forage base in the lake, you may have a challenge there. I will tell you that the Rage products have been very productive for me but each lure has it's time and place.

Just because you caught a bass yesterday off that stump doesn't mean you will today. They move around and there are too many factors that play into it. Find the fish and you'll get bit.

I always have a rage craw tied on. Some days they destroy it and others it only lands me a few fish. Try a weightless wacky rigged stick worm and see if you get bit. Then go from there.

I mean I wasn't casting to where I didn't see fish. The areas where I was fishing it I saw plenty of activity.

Don't know what more to say aside from what the others have.

They always produce for me, though some days more than others. Perhaps they aren't interested in the specific color you're using.

Its not your equipment, i use a similar setup on 20# flouro. Try some different colors. Hint hint blue craw....

I have pretty good success rigging it on a screw lock weighted swimbait hook. Swim it or slowly drag on bottom letting the belly weight create a dust trail on retrieval is deadly.

If your not catching fish on a rage craw your fishing in the wrong place! Haha

If you can see the fish, they can see you. Try backing off and making longer casts. Sight fishing in shallow water, don't cast right on top of fish you see, especially in shallow water. Cast off to one side or the other and lots of times they'll be attracted to splash instead of spooked.

Location location location. Fish are just not there or they would bite.

Carolina rig it and go deeper
