Trollmate Recessed Tm Tray Install

Featured Replies

Finally had time for this project.

Started off finding the midline of the boat. A length of braid line tied to the rear set post, ran all the way to the nose whilst going over the center of the front deck seat post hole.

Masked out the template. Measured, remeasured, adjusted, remeasured, and measured for the last time. Then, a perfectly good hole in the deck of my boat.

I finished the Ommegang while the little lady ran to Lowes for a longer drain tube. Drilled my holes, ran the drain hose, buttoned her down. Deployed the TM to find the best angle for the cable. Didnt want a hard twist or bind.

I had to cut through one and a half braces, flooring still seems very sturdy.

Not a hard project. And will be very well worth it.

I also put the cover/shield back on my gas tank. Trimmed 1/3 of it off so the gas line would be in a good position, and not pinched.

Probably the best upgrade ever did to my boat.

Cant wait to get it out. In the past few weeks Ive recessed the pedal, upgraded to a 24v system, and put a Stainless vengeance prop on. GONNA FEEL LIKE A BRAND NEW BOAT!

Put on in my Champion 2 years ago. Best thing I could have done.

Looks great! I'm sure you will notice the difference immediately.

I need to do this to my boat - Having to step up on that giant Minn Kota pedal has my back hurting/spasming by the end of an 8 hour tournament. Plus you have to balance strangely while trolling without the recess.

Gonna be putting a Comfortroll in my Triton Thursday. I'm gonna have to cut a brace to, was wondering how it was gonna hold up. Gonna love the Ommegang, brewed in my neck of the woods!
