Okay so I've narrowed it down to a couple kayaks but since I can get this one locally it's my first choice. I've done a lot of reading up on it and it seems to get great reviews from what I've found. The only thing I can't seem to find out is if you can upgrade the seat. It doesn't seem to have any padding to it and me being 215lbs I think it might get a bit uncomfortable. So does any know of any seats that will fit and offer better support/padding.

almost all aftermarket seats will fit that kayak as it is a big box version of the old heritage redfish.

I have the ACK gone fishing seat and its great.

another idea is to pick up a stadium cushion from your favorite sports store. I got mine at dicks or acadamy. I use it in conjunction with my seat and its awesome.

Perception is owned by Confluence , which owns Wilderness Systems. The Pescador is a direct copy of the older Tarpon series. Pre 2009 If I remember correctly.

I used a air cushion. Worked pretty good. Even heard a air up donut for hemmoroids works good.

^^^^^^ I was under the impression that the pescador was a copy of the old generation tarpon ( which I paddle....) as well. But when I Google it to make sure, the pic of the newest models seem to have the flat floor and smaller bow hatch that the old redfish had, so that's why ii said what I did.

If it IS still the copy of the old tarpon, then I PROMISE almost all aftermarket seats-not the raised ones, the regular ones- will fit your new kayak OP. I love my old tarpon. Great, fast platform!

I had read a few times it was a tarpon clone also. Thanks for the help fellas. Might be asking for more help once I get it. Mainly mounting a depth finder. As for seats,I think I'll just deal with the stock one for awhile. I really don't feel like adding a $100+ seat to the cost.

So I am new to kayaking got a pescador 10.0 sport I added the  $30 yak rod holder that slides on the track. I got a adventure pursuit oar that adjust to 240 cm. I want to replace seating and spend st most $50. Also what other upgrades recommend I will soon get rod holders for the 2 holes behind seat. Also has anyone heard of the circle hole by crotch cut out and have another dry storage as they have kits out. Also thinking down the road getting fish finder and maybe a shade top.
