Steady Retrieve Hollow Body Lures

Featured Replies

Would like some suggestions. I want hollow bodies that you can retrieve like a buzzbait or toad. Poppers and walkers are more location specific in the strike zone baits. I want a hollow body that can cover water like a buzzbait and produce on a steady retrieve at night in cover or open water.

Berkley Hollow Belly

Was looking at a few. The only ones I could find were the Scum Frog Thundertoad and the Snag Proof Bobby's Perfect Buzz Frog. These have a clacker on them like a buzzbait. Another steady retrieve you could do with all frogs is just walk them.

Yes i saw those and others on TW but they all have poor reviews. puts me off buying the product. I have also looked at the river2sea step wa frog, looks to have like a jitterbug style lip, however it to has negative reviews.

You could always go with a traditional hollow body frog and just reel it slowly. I've gotten strikes from doing that. Otherwise I don't think there are many options out there for you
