So I've desided to dive into maintaining my own reels. My question is how to clean and re oil the bearings on my baitcaster. Do you dismantle the bearing or can you leave the shield/races together? I guess I'd like some step by step instructions on how to clean and relive. Thanks guys.

    I just soaked mine in acetone overnight after I scrubbed them every 2 hours while I was still awake. Then one drop of oil when re - installing.
