Revo3 Centrifugal Brakes Self-Engaging?

Featured Replies

Have I missed the discussion on this board concerning the self-engaging centrifugal brake  blocks on the Revo3s?  It seems I'm finding mention of it on several other boards...  How much of a problem is it?  (if any)

From what I've seen in reels through here, it seems a little over blown. If you already have one, let ABU know if it acts up and I'm sure they'll cover it. If you're considering one, just check the tabs to be sure they click in place positively before purchase or upon receipt.

Thanks for the update... so the problem is loose fitting lock-out connection of the brakes and that can be identified upon inspection at purchase time?

Hi. I have 3 of these reels and the brakes take a pretty solid click to engage them so you can check them when you buy it as said above.
