St. Croix Mojo Bass

Featured Replies

I had a medium fast model of this rod for a few days but after fishing it for a little while it wasn't what I was looking for power wise but I am wanting to try the medium fast for swimjigs do you guys think that's a good choice? I need some help trying to figure out what else I could use it for I have heard you can use it for everything but I tried that when I had it and it just didn't feel right.

I had a 7' M/F that would have worked okay for swim jigs but I'd probably go with a MH/F instead. The M/F made a great lipless bait rod though. I had the 6' 6" M/F Mojo as well and it made a pretty good jerkbait, spook, spinnerbait, and buzzbait rod.

I can't warm up to the mojo - big fan of the rest of their line up but for the mojo price there are many other choices that suit me better.

I have a M/F Triumph that works perfect for walking baits and poppers. Maybe that would work?

I do want the medium heavy! only problem is that I already have two and I don't have any other rods haha but I love the look and feel of the mojo bass

Use braid and you shouldn't have any problem setting the hook with swim jigs. You'll do okay with fluoro or mono too, you're just going to miss or lose a few more than you would with a heavier rod or braid.
