Grumman Deep V Conversion??

Featured Replies

Was thinking of turning my Grumman 14ft deep v boat into more of a bass boat.

Plan is to rip out the benches, ad a flat floor. Then ad some raised seating.

Has anyone ever done, or seen this done?

Would also love to add a livewell if possible

I am a pretty decent mechanic, and fairly decent with construction so this should not be a problem.

Just looking for ideas!

Any links would be helpful!

go to tinboats.net. whole site just for that.

Be careful. The bench seats are often the structure that holds the sides of the boat in place. Take the seats out and you might weaken the whole boat.

What I was thinking last night was leave the 2 front benches in. Then just build a platform that uses the benches as the foundation. Then I keep the structural integrity and have a flat surface that I can walk around on, and mount a raised chair.
