Daiwa Warranty

Featured Replies

Hey guys so I have decided to send my tatula off to get worked on because I can't figure out what's wrong with it. I have some brand new line on it that I don't want to take off. Do I have to take off my line? Also what's every single step I need to do before sending it off? I have already printed the warranty sheet to send off with it. Thanks

put a rubberband around the line to keep it intact or place a piece of tape on the spool. Fill out the form, box it up, send it away. That's all you need to do. Mind you, the turn around time as of late is awful. i sent in a reel to get fixed almost 3 weeks ago and it still isn't completed..You also won't hear anything back from Daiwa apparently unless there are charges involved. They will just fix the reel and send it back to you. When you do send your reel in, wait a week for it to get processed. If you get somebody named Toby helping you, ask to talk to somebody else. That incompetent blowhard went to look for my reel and didn't call me back when he said he would and never responded to my voice messages. If you want to wait a while for the reel w/o charge, send it to Daiwa. If not and dont mine paying a few $$, send it to the site sponsor DVT.

Thanks so much for telling me this. I'll talk to DVT

If you send it in to DVT, have him tune it and put a Carbontex drag in. It's well worth the price; Carbontex is the best $8 you can spend for a reel upgrade.
