Getting started in plastics......what is needed??

Featured Replies

I am interested in making some of mine own plastics (senko, shakey style, sweet beavers, etc.).  Is there a go to place besides here that would be beneficial for me to use?  How much initial investment am I looking at?  How hard/easy is it to do?

I will continue to use the search function, but I figured that I could get more answers this way.

Thanks,

Trey

You will need:

a. Mold(s)

b. Plastic

c. melting pan/pot

d. An understanding wife if you intend to do this in her kitchen ;D

e. colors/glitter

f.  perhaps some softner/hardner

If the wife tosses you out of the kitchen into the garage, then you'll need a cheap hotplate.

Plastic, color, glass pyrex cup, old microwave, molds. This should get you started? Check out lurecraft for the molds.
