converting to a Split handle rod

It has to be old age.  >:)  I know I read a thread here that was about how you could convert a full cork handle rod into a split handle rod.  Someone asked the quesiton and then some responded to it with a link to the article and the "how to" pictures.

I did a search and came up with nothing....hope someone can help me through this "senior moment".
