Don't have any thoughts on that rod, but am surprised no one has posted an opinion for you yet as I know there are a few guys who either use or have used this rod cuz I've seen it mentioned a few times.  Hopefully you will get a few opinions tomorrow after church and Sunday dinner.  :teeth:

Never used one myself but I personally know a fellow that uses one for small inshore fish and peacock bass, I'm sure he has caught bass on it as well.  He likes it.

I have a few i use on a regular basis.they do what i want.i use yo zuri hybrid on all of mine with no issues.they aint the lightest rods but balance is key i use penn feirce reels on my spinning rods and abu 4600s on my casting.

I have a couple and have cought fish with them. They don't get used much because the feel isn't even close to my better rods.

Got a gx2 with Abu Garcia silver max its a good strong rod caught some good bass on it.

What are your thoughts on the Ugly Stik GX2 as an all around bass fishing rod in either spinning or casting rods?

I think for a few more bucks you could get a much better Bass Pro brand rod or combo
