I just got a bunch of lures from a guy at work and I was able to identify all but one, here are the characteristics.

-RAPALA

-JERKBAIT

-3 inches

-2 trebles

-TINY TINY LIP/BILL

-RATTLE THAT ROLLS FREELY FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK OF THE LURE CAUSING WHATEVER SIDE ITS ON TO SINK WHILE THE OTHER SIDE FLOATS (nose down or nose up)

I havent seen a jerkbait with a lip this small, and its not broken. I'm curious to know what it is, I hope this helps lol feel free to post photo's of what you think it could be.

Is it an X-rap? I had one but cant remember if it had a rattle...

Just post a picture and I'm sure someone can quickly tell you what it is.

nope, the lip on this rapala is even smaller than the one on the xrap. and yea I'm going to get a photo ASAP lol but until then I'm hoping someone finds out

nope, i was using that picture as refrence to the lip. its not jointed and its a gold minno type of color. 2 treble hooks. it may even be a discontinued lure for all i know. the guy that gave it to me was in his 30's. I'll post the picture asap, hopefully it helps.

There´s only one Rapala jerkbait that fits that description ---> Rapala Long Cast Minnow.

  • YES!!!!! ^^^ YOU'VE GOT IT! WOW! THANKS MAN

turns out it is made of wood too. "the long casting minno is the only long casting wooden lure ever made" "the weight transfer system makes it easy to cast and gives it great realistic action" thats nice to know :) hahah
