Problem With Tdz 103Hl Mag Brake Control

Featured Replies

The magnetic brake knob doesn't seem to be engaging.  Any ideas how to fix it?

You know, mine was acting funny too. I have a tdz 103h and sometimes it would be very hard to move the mag dial and then it would free up and spin easily with no clicks, kinda like it was skipping teeth. I just shipped mine to DVT to get worked on. I didnt send it in for that though, I sent it in for clutch spring problems. I just never thought nothing of the mag dial because I have never owned a another diawa and thought maybe that's how they are. I could take the palming side plate off and see that the mags where actually moving when it felt like it was slipping.

I've fixed them in the past. They are a little tricky to get lined up right and the magnets need to oriented correctly to match the adjustment dial.

This is exactly the same problem I have.  I'm going to send mine off to dvt.

In other words, send it to DVT and while he´s at it he can upgrade the drag pads, clean and lube it properly.
