custom made tackle for our wedding.....

Featured Replies

Well most people have seed packets or disposable cameras or the like. We are having trouble finding a place to make them without a minimum order of 500-1000 units. Anyone have any suggestions or are there any small time tackle makers that wanna help us out. We thought a lipless crank bait would be neat or a crankbait or some sort. We would like the side of it to have our names and date of the wedding. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks guys.

Good Idea...I would google the idea something like "custom crankbaits" and get ahold of one of the makers...

I think rapala  has some kind of custom crank bait...  You send them the idea, and they print it on the bait itself...  I remember seeing it, just not sure where...

I wish my memory was better... there was a link from one of the threads not too long ago, to a custom crankbait maker's web site and it actually listed special occations as an idea for personalized crankbaits.   Hopefully someone will remember it and be able to steer you in the direction.

Great idea, I hope you find a way to make that happen.

I am sure this dude could hook you up with a wedding special

http://jm-woodcraft.cabanova.com/

he is a member here and makes killer cranks

If he can do a "decal connection" names and date decal under the clearcoat you'd be all set.  (decals by the sheet are very inexpensive.   ;)

Why don't you just buy decal sheets for a printer, and print your own, and put them onto some white lures?  Then, you can make them yourself, and not have to deal with anyone else...  And then just clear them.  ;)

What you're looking for is expensive!!

Some of the suggestions included decals, which is a great, cost effective way to get this done. There are sites that have the necesary paper to print decals on an inkjet, then like another said, you could shoot the baits a single color, maybe two, then apply the decals, I'm referring to waterslide decals, but could do plain stickers, I suppose. The clearcoat hides the  edges of the waterslide very well.

Hagens printing out blades is a good idea too, the onyl negative I can think of is they won't really look like much unless they are attached to a spinnerbait, which has hooks, not the best thing to pass out to family and friends at a wedding, they might get a bit jealous ;)

If you want a 'trap, look to hagens or Jann's or Stamina for the smooth traps, they run $1/each in small quantities, less in more, then you could apply a sticker to that (would need to be smooth!), and clear, maybe even some paint to spruce it up a bit :)

I'm jealous! My wife is so extremely indifferent about fishing! If I can help, let me know, I can paint, apply decals, clear, etc.

Well i found a guy that owns a company who had these made for his own personal wedding. He said hed give me a good deal at 3 bucks a piece including hook (or key chain) and a plastic "rapala like" case to keep kids fingers outta the hooks. The picture he sent was from his wedding.
