Best Jig Rod For Under $150?

Featured Replies

What do you think would be the best rod jigs under $150. Really cant spend much more than that

There will be alot of different opinions and rod's suggested to you. Honestly my jig setups total cost just above $150 reel and all. I use Carbonlite rod's paired with PQ reel for all my jig setups. GREAT sensitivity and good backbone. I also have a *** that I use sometimes for flipping jigs in light brush. It's a really good rod as well just not my top choice. Just do some research on the forum listen to input and feedback and make your decision on what you feel you'd need/like best.

Tatula 7' 2" Heavy/Fast.

Depending on the jig weights, either the Falcon 5-1610MH or 6-1610H. You can find the Cara T7 version on sale many places or the Lowrider version is for sure under your budget. In fact, I would recommend spending an extra bit and get both those rods! The *** is a nice rod (blank) as well but I think the Falcons are great jig rods in that price range.

I just got a Powell Endurance 714 7'1" H rod and it is awesome for jigs

Go with a Fenwick HMG or used Aetos.

Should be some good Black Friday sales in a few weeks, definitely take advantage of those. I would look at a Kistler KLX (easily the best rod under $200 and it's not close). A couple others that will be in your range with the sales are the Phenix Recon2 and St Croix Avid.

1) ---> Falcon Bucoo Micro 6'10" H

2) ---> Daiwa Tatula 7'1" MH/XF

3) ---> *** black 7'1" H/F
