What would be the better jig and colors for grass,shells and around Lilly pads in clear and murky green water? Need options/ different set ups

Clear colors like watermelon work better in clear waters.  If you have murky water then use black or blueblack.  Brown might also be a decent choice.

I always liked red shad in murky water.  Are solid, lighter colors usually a no go in clear water?

More natural colors work better in clear water.  I have also now gone to silent vise rattle baits in clear water.  I cannot catch a fish on regular green pumpkin here in WA but watermelon is money.  I am still working out the gin clear water thing but it is very different.  Smaller baits also work better, as i catch 3-4 lb fish on baby brush hawgs.

I use his arky jig for bottom work.  The head style will depend on the type of bottom you have.  I have a bunch of mud and weeds.  Rock bottoms work well with football heads.

I just bought a strike king premier pro model jig and I was wondering about the line tie its horizontal so I don't think it will go through grass very well should I have gotten a vertical eye in line with the hook?

I dont think the tie being vertical or horizontal matters as much as the angle.  Most grass jigs have a line tie that is 30ish degrees vise 90.  It helps pull the jig up and over with a head shape that goes threw the grass better.  Flipping jigs also do well due to the head shape.
