Bps Carbonlite Rod/reel

Featured Replies

Anyone else really disappointed in the new white color BPS choose for the Carbonlite rods and reels this year. I personally liked the smoke color rod/reel they use to be. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me we already have Abu and Duckett using white rods and they have the Bionic Blade in white.

Not a fan of white blanks myself.

No.

I put a new carbonlite on my 7'm/f veritas and it is a featherweight thing of beauty!

Have yet to try the new white CL rods.

Probably would look decent with my 50e

Just hope they're super light like the black

models.

I kind of liked the old gold reels. They worked better than the last iteration that was dark colored also.

I'm not big on the white blank but I do hear that some people like them to be able to watch their rod tip and see bites.

I'm partial to Lew's Custom style tods where they start white at the bottom and transition to black. I can read the text on the rod better where they will say "crankbait" or "jig/worm" where it's white but then don't have to stare at a white rod all day. Cabela's Tournament ZX had this look as well and they have Winn grips.

I have a older black rod(7'MHF casting) and also a newer white one(6'8MXF spinning). I can tell you that the new white ones are just as light and a tad bit more sensitive But not anything significant. I really like both of these rods and at the new 69.99 price point the black ones are a steal. The white one is a great rod and well worth the 99.99 price point as well.
