Rattle-can Selections

Featured Replies

I have a few baits that I am modifying and would like to change the paint scheme. I have no means to justify buying an airbrush yet so I was wondering what I needed to look for in rattle cans. All lures are plastic and will be coated in Devcon afterwards.

All the rattle cans I have tried work just do not mix different types of paint!!! The ones at Wal-Mart for $1 in the blue can work, I think they are auto primer or something?

bmadd, I would not clear those baits with devcon.  It adds weight and bulk to the bait and can cause plastic baits to loose the action or even sink.   Get a can of high gloss polyurathane and give the baits about 5 coats and let dry 48 hrs after the 5th coat.
