Much Gratitude

Featured Replies

As I mentioned in my intro. I am a converted walleye fisherman. Mainly converted by frustration and simply that I have always had more success bass fishing than walleye. I have been a follower of a popular walleye forum for years. In the few weeks since I joined this forum I have to say I am very excited.

I'm a teacher and am always trying to learn what I can to become a better fisherman. I am guilty of beating the bank. This produces some success but very limited. I want to learn what I can to become a more consistent bass fisherman.

Structure discussions fascinate me. There is so much I can learn from you on this topic. Another topic I have tried to find good information on is forage species, their life cycles, movements and such. I have struggled to find good information on the topic of forage.

Well, this is my long winded way of saying how much I appreciate all the knowledge you folks are sharing. This gives me so much to do waiting for ice out.

welcome dmack, this is a wonderful place to learn and kill time waiting for the thaw! There is just something about bass fishing but don't leave the other species in the dust!

Welcome D! Lots of good people on here.

Guys,

I'm still learning how to fully use the resources on the site. A couple of things, first  I am trying  to find the article  by Catt, I believe, Demystifying Structure. I have done a lot of reading but always feel I'm hopping into the middle of something. Looked in articles and didn't find it. Maybe I'm not looking correctly. Is there a search function within the articles tab?

Second question,  Catt you mentioned an article, I believe, Know Thy Shad 1 and 2. Just need help finding it. Thanks.

So I found the "Best of..." thread and the articles I'm looking for. Like I say, still learning.

Save up for a 16 foot Aluminum boat. Simple bare bones  with aluminum seats across it and  a smaller motor.  Then the catch count goes WAY UP.

Great sport. Lots to learn AND experiment with.    :)

My favorite boat is the 16' Lowe bare bones with a 9.9 hp motor. Electric & hand pull starter.  1 freezer bag with several small lures & split shots. Done 4# test braid line & a ultra light setup.    Life is good.

I installed a fold down FULL height Bimini Sunbrella top for the hot sunny days. A fully adjustable seat with padded arm rests.  Fall asleep in the chair a lot.  :)

So I found the "Best of..." thread and the articles I'm looking for. Like I say, still learning.

I have found that the easiest method is to search the topic with "bassresource" after it on Google.

Yup, works a lot better than this websites search function IMO...
