Bps Xps Pro Wrap Handle Grip Wrap

Featured Replies

Anybody ever use this product?  I have a few rods that the EVA foam is a little tattered and thought about wrapping this on before stripping the foam off and replacing with new.  I have small hands and like a tacky feel and thought this might fit the bill.  Any other suggestions I am all ears.

I use Wilson Tennis Racket Grip Tape.  Its pretty cheap and can be found at walmart.  Its like 3 rolls for 2.99 or something. Some people have said that its not long enough, but it has been working for me.  Ive had it on nearly all my rods, some for up to 3 years.  You can also go on amazon and get different colors, which can help customize it, or make it easier to pick out a type of rod (Jigs-red, topwater- Green etc.)   For longer handles you may have to combine 2.  I try to use one for the handle, then cut a chunk off and use the other and use it on the foregrip.  They look good, feel great, and are a cheaper solution.

Great idea! I'll check it out!

Some guy I know likes it because he says he can grip of better. I don't, but I like straight cork, so...

Nope...I replace with tour star grips by Winn.  Big improvement over eva foam in my opinion  and the wetter they get, the tackier they get.

I have used that XPS Handle Wrap, Tennis Racket Grip, Mountain Bike Handle Tape, and Rod Wrap. The only one that I really like is the Rod Wrap. The XPS Wrap wears quickly and the tape doesn't hold worth a crap. The Tennis Racket Grip works ok, but I am only able to use it on my fly rods, because they are cut so short. I went as far as calling Wilson directly to try and get uncut runs of it and they essentially said no. The Mountain Bike Handle Grip has adhesive on it and I didn't like that being on my cork. Rod Wrap works perfectly. I have it on every rod I own. I started with just wrapping one worn handle and I liked it so much, it went on them all.
