Duckett Ghost Baitcaster

Featured Replies

I'm looking to buy a new Baitcaster does anyone have any experience with the duckett ghosts. Are they good rods? I'm getting a medium heavy an using it to catch both largemouth and stripers using lures. I'm hoping it will be my all around rod. Could I use it for poppers, soft plastics, live lining perch, and crankbaits? Oh and what kind of reel should I get?

Are you talking about a Duckett reel or a rod.. You say baitcaster and then rod... The rod is decent have used it. Get a phenix maxium for a rod at that price.

I like them, not a bad rod for $100. Only thing I dislike is the discoloration that has happened to one of the ghosts I own. Other than that, not a bad rod at all.

Good Rod. I've owned some. No complaints.

I'm talking about the rod

They have a 6'10" Medium that would be perfect for what your talking about.  And as far as the discoloration, I know they will replace the old ones that turned yellow.  None of the new ones change colors now.
