Markham Park

Featured Replies

Live right by Markham Park and have never fished it heard there are catfish and snakehead in the canal as well as cichlids. Any advice on baits and spots or cover to look for would be appreciated.

There are plenty of bass and peacock as well there ... any plastics texas rigged or a senko will do well as a spinnerbait .

that canal has lots of big peacocks, snook, and tarpon. also bass and snakeheads. throw spinner baits or jerk baits along the edge an you should have fun

Do you fish the north and south canal or east and west??

You can start at the ramp and catch fish. That place is loaded with every species that is known to live in S. Florida. The entire system will give up fish.
