  1. What’s the difference between removable and a foldaway trailer toungue?? Also do you know why the bobcat storage distance is so compact? Technically the z17 and the tr179 are shorter boars but storage size it’s almost a foot more.
  2. Hi Everyone, Beginning the process to look at a fiberglass boat. Plan to take my time to find the right used boat. I have one big constrain which is I need it to be 20’ storage length with swing trailer and motor trimmed down. This unfortunately limits my ability to get any newer boats as it looks many discontinue making 17 or 18 foot boats. Even the z17 and the tr179 look like they are above 20 feet in storage. Welcome all the advice!
  3. Thanks for the report Geo
  4. If you are still going in March I recommend sawgrass.
  5. If you could get your hands on a deal go for the shimano vanford.
  6. I’ll be on my yearly family visit in Connecticut in the second week of April which I typically spend time fly fishing for trout. I was thinking if the fishing is good maybe I take a guided trip to candlewood lake. Does anyone have any insights into how the fishing is in April? I usually go in April and in the summer and would like to eventually make it to candlewood. also does anyone recommend a good guide?
  7. Hi everyone, Does anyone have any experience with Fitzgerald rods? Specifically the okechkbee rod 7’6 heavy? I’m in the market for a new rod here in Florida and am between this rod and the Ark invoker pro series. The application is for big ez on the top with the occasional swim jig and chatterbait. I don’t see many posts about Fitzgerald so I figured I would start a new thread.
  8. Really suggest to take a trip with drew guide services. He knows the canal system in and out and can try to put you on the fish you want. Peacock bass fishing is a fun experience. Tell him Sam sent you from the Hawg hunters. if you decide to do it on your own holiday park is sometimes a hit or miss if you don’t know where to go. I would recommend maybe doing the same at sawgrass recreational.
  9. The water temperatures differ depending on the depth. Several years ago the same thing happened and it took some time for the population up north (broward) to get back to normal.
  10. Rooster tail works great
  11. Drew in south Florida is a great guide and coordinates trips yearly. Tell him Sam sent you from the Hawg hunters. https://drewsguideservice.com

  15. I guess my question is are they all one size or is there a specific meaurement for buzz baits. I want to buy them at Home Depot
  16. Nice. Peas put up a great fight
  17. Quick question. Anyone know the size of ribbets used in buzzbait. Also where can I pick up some ?
  18. I have caught bass there and some good size one as well. Just try to find places that look fishy to you. The water levels are low and it's hot so a lot of the outer creeks might be low. Look for some pads or vegation and you should catch some. I have also have caught peacocks there. Where your sunglasses to see if you can spot some by sight.
  19. Awesome Lou! You catch those on hollow body?
  20. It was a very weird weekend for fishing down in the glades.
  21. Still need help on this? I went to Morgan high school in Clinton ct. they on the list?
  22. Went out with 2 guys from the homestead hawg hunters out of holiday park from 8 am to 3 pm. Boat was in the shop so we rented a job boat. We started fishing right off the ramp and started catching fish right away. Watermelon red and junebug plastics did the trick. We fished a lot of the openings and consistently caught fish throughout the day. We landed a 4 a 3 couple of 2s and a lot of dinks. It did rain on us several times but luckily no lightning. We stuck to it and fished through the rain. Overall great day on the water.
  23. Nice fish! What recommendation did you end up going with
